Saving to flash on poweroff

It is noted that when going to standby, certain parts of the RAM are saved to flash. Is this a specific location on the flash chip, or does the power off routine use BFile_* calls to write to a file? -- Ahelper (talk) 00:46, 7 December 2014 (EST)

  • I believe it is a specific location on the flash chip. Using the Bfile syscalls would be too slow (have you seen the amount of time it takes to write even a 500 KiB file, let alone create it?), and would fail if the storage memory was full. --Gbl08ma (talk) 16:40, 7 December 2014 (EST)
